Night Eagle Wilderness Adventures
Night Eagle is a primitive camp where boys develop a deep respect for the land, an understanding of the interconnection and value of all life, a better understanding of the American Indian and other earth-based cultures through camp lifestyle, discussions, and activities, and the skills to live competently in the wilderness. Through community living and group decision-making, we believe that boys can live and play together in a spirit of cooperation rather than competition.

A unique primitive camp for 40 boys, ages 10-14, featuring tipi living, wilderness skills, atlatis and hawk throwing, and survival skills. Activities tend to spring from the environment and teach boys to rely on their own ingenuity. 1, 2, 3, 4, and 6 week sessions available.
Soon after their arrival, campers are busy carving bows and arrows, paddling canoes, creating birch bark baskets, throwing darts with an atlatl, making moccasins and rattles, mastering the art of tracking and camouflage, identifying wild edibles, and learning to build fires with flint and steel and bow drills. Through these activities and the slower pace of life in camp, boys naturally develop a deeper respect for the land and an authentic sense of personal accomplishment as they learn to live competently in the woods.
